Dr. Joel Wolfson is a caring psychiatrist who has been treating patients in Westchester for over 33 years. He attended the Downstate Medical Center Medical School in Brooklyn, New York and did his adult psychiatry training at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, as well as an additional year as the Chief Resident in Adult Psychiatry. Dr. Wolfson did his child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at the Cambridge City Hospital, a teaching center of the Harvard University Medical School. He also received training in family therapy from The Cambridge Family Institute in Massachusetts. Dr. Wolfson is board certified in Adult and Child/Adolescent Psychiatry and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

Dr. Wolfson served as clinical instructor in the Department of Psychiatry of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine which included supervision of residents in the Child Psychiatry Fellowship. For almost twenty years, Dr. Wolfson served as the Assistant Medical Director of the Four Winds Hospital in Katonah, New York where he was responsible for developing and directing several child and adolescent in-patient units. He served as a consultant to the Mental Health Association of Westchester County. Dr. Wolfson also served as a consultant to the school districts of Danbury and Brookfield, Connecticut. This included the assessment of children and adolescents who were having difficulties and challenges in the school setting, and acting as a liaison between the family and the school administration and personnel.

Dr. Wolfson is a member of the Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and the American Psychiatry Association. He is board certified in Adult and Child/Adolescent Psychiatry and a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

Dr. Wolfson is happy to announce the reopening of his in person offices in New Rochelle and Mount Kisco and continues to offer Virtual Telehealth evaluations and sessions when clinically appropriate.
